Jury beste spillefilm

Beste spillefilm på Oslo/Fusion Internasjonale Filmfestival 2018 skal i år bestemmes av to av våre internasjonale gjester, en festivalsjef og en norsk programsjef.

Andria Wilson er daglig leder for Inside Out, Canadas største LHBT filmfestival. Hun er bosatt i Toronto, og har spilt en en sentral rolle i kunstmiljøet og det skeive miljøet på atlanterhavsiden av Canada de siste 15 årene. Hun har erfaring fra Atlantic Film Festival, East Coast Music Assosiation, TD Halifax Jazz Festival, Creative Nova Scotia Awards, og det anerkjente omreisende 2b teatret. I 2011 var hun en av medgrunnleggerne av OUT EAST, Atlantic Canada’s Queer Film Festival. Wilson skal presentere kanadiske kortfilmer i Inside Out Presenterer torsdag 20. september kl. 18.

Truls Foss er filmviter fra Høgskolen i Lillehammer og er nå programsjef for Vega Kino, som åpner i Hausmanns gate i november. Tidligere har han blant annet jobbet for strømmetjenesten MUBI, Amandusfestivalen og var blant initiativtakerne bak Den Norske Studentfilmfestivalen i Lillehammer. Han har jobbet som fast skribent hos det nettbaserte filmmagasinet Montages og frilans for flere tidsskrift som Natt & Dag, Subjekt og Z filmtidsskrift.

Noel Alejandro er en uavhengig filmskaper som lager alternative filmer for voksne og har gjort seg bemerket for å vaske ut skillene mellom kunst og porno, og ønsker å gå forbi kun det eksplisitte og sikter mot en mer følsom tilnærming til sex på film. Alejandro gjester årets festival med tre av sine kortfilmer og han vil være tilstede på visningen av disse fredag 21. september.

Pierre Emö har etter noen år innen filmproduksjon og formidling utviklet seg som skuespiller, performer og modell. Gjennom disse forskjellige feltene utforsker han forskjellige tilnærminger til representasjonen av nakenhet, seksualitet og skjønnhet gjennom film, porno og teater. Han dukker opp i flere av Noel Alejandro sine filmer, og gjester festivalen sammen med Alejandro og vil være tilstede under spesialvisningen fredag 21. september.

Jury Feature Film

Best Feature Film at the Oslo/Fusion International Film Festival 2018 will be determined by two of our international guests, a film festival Director and a Norwegian Head of Programming.

Andria Wilson is the Executive Director of Inside Out, Canada’s largest LGBT Film Festival. Now residing in Toronto, she was an internal contributor to the arts and LGBTQ communities in Atlantic Canada for the last 15 years, hold key leadership roles at the Atlantic Film Festival, East Coast Music Association, TD Halifax Jazz Festival, Creative Nova Scotia Awards, and with renowned international touring company 2b theatre. In 2011 she so-founded OUT EAST, Atlantic Canada’s Queer Film Festival. Wilson will present Canadian short films in Inside Out Presenting on Thursday September 20th at 18:00.

Truls Foss is educated in Film Studies from Lillehammer University of Applied Science and is currently the Head of Programming at Vega Kino, which is opening in Oslo in November. He has previously worked for the streaming platform MUBI, the Amandus Festival, and was one of the founders of The Norwegian Student Film Festival in Lillehammer. He has worked as a permanent contributor to the web based film magazine Montages, and as a freelance writer for several magazines and journals, among them Natt & Dag, Subjekt and Z. 

Noel Alejandro is an independent filmmaker and alternative adult films director whose work explores pornography as a tool to question society’s old standards. His films go beyond the explicit, being set to live in a blend between cinema and erotica. Alejandro will attend this year’s Oslo/Fusion and bring three of his short films to be screened at Friday September 21^st.

Pierre Emö has developed in the field of film production and distribution after a few years, and is now evolving as actor, performer and model. Through these various fields, he’s exploring different approaches and representations of nudity, sexuality and beauty through theatre, film and porn. He appears in several of Noel Alejandro's films, and will attend Oslo/Fusion 2018 together with Alejandro and will be present during the screening Friday September 21^st.
